Tuesday, Tuesday....

So we had a fun night tonight. Our neighbors Jacquie and Brian came over with their kids and we hung out, we just really 'met' them a few weekends ago...they live right across the hall. They invited us to go to their church which is right across the street, so we checked it out on Easter Sunday......
a little background on that
We have been going to a H U G E church about 15 minutes from here  the last several months, and like the music and childrens program and the teaching has been great...but we never really got ot know anyone there since its sooo huge! So we checked out this church with the neighbors this past week and it was nice. Its very very small, like probably 100 people verses the thousands at the one we have been attending. Its in a small strip mall, and within walking distance from us. Makenna did great in the nursery, she has cried every other week at the church we have been going to. Everyone was so friendly and the teaching and music seemed nice. Its very laid back and seems like a pretty close knit, welcoming group whos goal is to help others in the community however they can. We are going to go again this week--who knows maybe this will work out for us, or maybe we will end up back at the H U G E churh--only He knows....

Anyhow the neighbors have two kids ages 15 mo and 3, so Makenna has fun playing with them. The guys enjoyed talking sports and video games and Jacquie and I just hung out and chatted. It was nice.

Work was good today, Im getting used to the twins staying longer days, which has been an adjustment, I was pretty used to them leaving at 3:30, they now leave at 5:30ish due to their dads new job. Ty and Makenna are saying more and more words each day/week.  Makenna's newest are "heese" (cheese) and "melmo" (elmo)--so funny!

We were going to play tennis tonight but the thunderstorms this afternoon made the court too wet and slippery--hopefully tomorrow! We are horrible but enjoy trying to hit the ball back and forth..Makenna enjoys running around the court chasing balls or playing with chalk last night.

Scamp is doing well pottying outside...he still is having the occasional 'tootsie roll' accident in the house--Im trying my best :(.

Our silly girl! Eating her toes and playing with the GH guitar---learning early I guess!

A few silly shots of the punkin!
Sharing Scamps bed with him...so sweet

Our precious bunny!

Start of a (hopefully) great thing!

So Ive been reading peoples blogs for a while now and find myself drawn to reading them, so thought what the heck Ill take a stab at it too. So Im going to try to update it regularly on our family happenings here in NC.
We are enjoying watching our little miracle baby grow into a (dare I say it) Toddler! Each day is a new struggle and a new adventure, all the while falling more in love with her and each other (as cliche as that sounds).
We are living here in Raleigh NC and love it for most reasons. We of coarse miss family that is in other parts of the country but enjoy the mild weathered, multi cultural and very family friendly city/area Raleigh is.
We have a new little yorkie puppy "Scamp" who we are trying hard to train well and teach fun tricks. Makenna loves him to pieces! As many of you know we had to find new homes for our beloved Lab and Beagle late last year due to allergies in Makenna--yorkies are hypoallergetic (there is no such thing as a totally non allergy dog however being her allergies were mild in relation to what they could be and that yorkies only have on layer of non shedding hair it makes it much much more allergy friendly, not to mention size wise much better for apartment living).
Im staying at home watching a few little kids daily now and loving it for the most part, I hope to maybe work as a CNA, etc. when Makenna enters school (assuming we have no other little blessings in pink or blue come our way). Jay is working for a computer company doing benefit customer service right now, and we are always praying for a better earning (better benefits specifically) position or a position that will open the door into a career he will flourish and thrive in and be able to climb the ladder more, even if its a different arena than he has previously worked in or has a degree in.
So thats the update for today..more to come soon!
